Adding a new sports changing facility will add lasting value to your club, but very few clubs have the money sitting in an account waiting to be spent. The good news: most of the changing rooms we build are part funded by grants, and helping clubs through that process is a normal part of our job.

Where Sports Clubs Find the Money

These are the sources of funding for sports clubs that our customers use most often:

• The Football Foundation. The Premier League, FA and Government fund grants for grassroots facilities, including changing rooms. Applications go through your County FA, which is usually the best first phone call.
• Sport England. Funding programmes for community sports facilities, including smaller grants that suit single-building projects.
• National Lottery Community Fund. Community-benefit grants that many clubs combine with other sources.
• Your local council. Section 106 and Community Infrastructure Levy money is often set aside for community and sports facilities, and some councils run their own grant schemes.
• Landfill and environmental funds. Bodies distributing landfill community funds support facility projects near qualifying sites.

What Funders Ask For

Almost every grant application needs the same things: a drawing of the proposed building, a firm written quotation, evidence of community benefit, and often planning permission. This is where we help. We provide floor plans, specifications and formal quotations for your application at no cost, and we are used to working to the timescales and paperwork that funders expect.

How Long Does It Take

Securing funding usually takes months rather than weeks, so it pays to start early. A sensible order: choose a floor plan and get a guide price from us, speak to your County FA or council about which schemes fit, then submit your application with our drawings and quotation attached. We stay supportive throughout and update quotes whenever a funder asks.
