How To Design A Sports Changing Room

There are a number of factors to consider when deciding upon the size and design of your new or refurbished Sports Changing Rooms. Obviously, a key factor in many circumstances is the overall cost of the project, so getting the right balance is essential. Our team have created a variety of different designs of sports changing rooms with floor plans that comply with the majority of applicable regulations, specifically as recommended by Sport England and/or stipulated by The Football Association for Football League clubs. Principal considerations to be taken into account Bench space for changing. This should be at least 500mm in length per player and 450mm deep. Changing Room area space. For Football League Clubs this should be a minimum of 18 square metres per Team and 6 square metres for Officials excluding space occupied by toilets and showers. Number of Showers. Technically there should be a minimum of three showers per team for Football Clubs, but more or less can be provided based upon likely usage in non-regulated circumstances. Mixed Gender Changing Room Facilities. All of our Mixed Gender Sports Changing Room designs include private shower enclosures for female use and most feature a multi-shower enclosure for male use. Other Facilities. We have designs featuring other facilities which may or may not be relevant to your club: Medical Room? Physio Room? Specator Facilities? Disabled Toilet and/or Shower Facilities? Club Social Area with Kitchen? Examples of popular Changing Room Floor Plan Layouts: 18.3m x 3.6m 2-Team Changing Rooms with separate facility for Officials. 21.4m x 3.6m 2-Team Changing Rooms with dual gender separate facilities for Officials. Non-compliant budget 12.2m x 3m 2-Team Changing Rooms with separate facilities for Officials. 15.9m x 3.6m Mixed Gender Changing Rooms without separate facilities for...

What are the benefits of prefabricated cabins vs a brick build?

There are several benefits of choosing a prefabricated cabin compared to commissioning the design & build of a brick building. Typical life spans for modular sanitary buildings (containing Toilet, Shower and Changing Room facilities) are 25 years for Timber Frame Construction and up to 50 years for Steel buildings. Ground preparation is significantly easier and less costly than for brick buildings because most prefabricated buildings can be sited on relatively inexpensive concrete footings. Construction or Prefabricated building costs are also significantly less, usually about 50% of the cost of conventional brick construction. And finally, whilst construction of a fixed brick building can often take upwards of 6 months, the average lead time for prefabricated sanitary buildings is usually between 6-8 weeks. What does it cost for a prefabricated cabin vs brick build? Our prefabricated  cabins can be designed with fitted toilets, showers & changing rooms at an average cost of £60 per square foot. You’ll certainly find the equivalent brick build will cost a lot more, on average £120 per square foot for a brick building with all the finishing. Do it yourself (DIY) Sports Changing Rooms

Sports Changing Rooms has developed another unique design, allowing any Sports Club to use the concept of modular building to create their own Sports Changing Room and Social Area Complex over a period of time as funds become available. What you see below is just an example of what we can offer in a building complex comprising four modules. A design can be created to suit individual circumstances and requirements and stored by us until it is time to add to whatever has been already built and installed. This example includes two modules, each with Changing Rooms, toilets and showers for use by two teams and Officials. The other two Modules include a Kitchen and Club Social area, Toilets and a Medical/Physio Room – all following guidelines for content and space allocation recommended by bodies such as Sport England. The concept of Modular building allows the Club to invest in one module only initially and add additional modules at a later date. The logical initial module choice would be  Module 1 or 2 and this can be followed by Module 4 (Toilets etc.), Module 3, (Club Social Area) and additional Changing Room Modules as required. Each Module will be totally self contained and will be installed by our Engineers bolting together and linking the two structures. To obtain more information on specifications and price for this concept, please contact us and refer to the DIY (DESIGN IT YOURSELF) Sports Changing Room Complex....

May 2013 Customer Testimonials

If you would like to speak to previous customers, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’d be happy top put you in touch. ======================================================================= To Whom It May Concern We have recently purchased a new changing room unit from Convenience Services Ltd. and the service we received was excellent. The unit is of a very highest standard and has everything we asked for inside. From the initial order to the delivery of the unit, everything went according to plan. The service we received was second to none and Mike Naracott was always very helpful in assisting us with any issues that we had. We highly recommend Convenience Services Ltd to anyone thinking about purchasing a new unit and wouldn’t hesitate in using them again. Site Facilities Manager (High School Academy) ======================================================================= To Whom It May Concern We recently procured the Convenience Services Ltd through a competitive tendering process to provide a portable building for use as a sports changing pavilion. Several companies tendered for the work which included the disconnection from the mains and removal from site of the old unit. Although it was a difficult location to access we found that Mike was extremely helpful and managed the whole delivery and installation perfectly. The delivery required road closures as well as having to access the site adjacent to a busy local primary school all health and safety requirements were well planned and executed. Grounds protection measures to avoid damage to park and sport field were put in place to keep to a minimum any reinstatement required. The unit itself has been well laid out to the specifications we required. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the methods of work, helpfulness and quality of product. Yours faithfully Facilities and Operations Manager (From a UK Public...
